Nicholas Robert Arsenault

At 9:46PM on Saturday October 20, 2007, Nicholas Robert Arsenault was born, weighing in at 8lbs 1oz and 20 1/2 inches. It is now 8 days later and we still find it incredible that he is finally here. We consider oursleves very fortunate to have 2 healthy and wonderful girls and now we have a very special little boy to complete our family.


My water broke at 7:30PM in Rob's parents driveway as we were dropping Hailey off for the night. We rushed home to get the bags and things we wanted to bring with us to the hospital and finally arrived at labor and delivery at 8:30 PM. My contractions were not all that bad in the car but they intensified almost immediately once we got there. At 9:41 it was time to push and Nicholas came out 5 minutes later at 9:46pm. It was definitely the most painful labor of my three, but by far the quickess. The drug I was given to help with the pain did not seem to take, probably a result of the speed in which he was born. So after a quick labor and no stitches (maybe tmi but I'm proud of that) we've got a boy.
